Hong Kong May 4-10th 2016

Okay so honestly I think this is a huge reason I really wanted to update this blog. I can't let this amazing adventure not be told. I got the most amazing chance to travel to Hong Kong and I swear I left a part of myself there. If you ever get the chance to go I highly recommend it. The city is gorgeous and the food is amazing and in large variety of different types. So let me a share a few I tried ;)
This was the first meal I had a chance to eat when we got to Hong Kong. The soup is egg drop soup which was kinda weird to eat when the weather is super humid and hot but it was still good. The dumplings we tried a few of some were boiled and others fried. I preferred the fried ones. This meal was a good price for the amount of food we got.
So I didn't have a picture of just the drink and not me in it so here's a silly picture of me with this drink I really liked. It's a mango banana frappe that I got a few times while there to help me keep cool. Pricing is about the same as in the us.
This was one meal I extremely enjoyed trying. I'm a huge fan of French toast so I was pretty excited to try a different type of French toast. This was deep fried and extremely good. In front of it was a milk tea that I tried but sadly didn't really enjoy. I'm never one to not try something.
I really love pistachio ice cream and decided to try this little one as we rode the boat across the harbor. Not my favorite but still.
This was one meal I was really excited to try. We are here when we visited the big Buddha statue. This was a lamb kebab which was new for me. I've never had lamb and it was by far really good. The yellowish drink was a mango lassi which I wasn't a huge fan of. It had a weird grainy texture I didn't agree with. You've probably already seen a Mountain Dew but that was the first and only one I saw while in Hong Kong.
I was so excited to get to try these. Lots of the major travel sights I read up on mentioned trying the famous egg waffles. I agree with them and recommend giving them a try.  I tried them while we were in the little village of tai o but you can find them at several different street vendors in Hong Kong.
Okay I'm so American for wanting pizza in Hong Kong but it was also a tradition for who I was staying with. This was the largest pizza I have ever seen in my life. It was super good and a little bit different flavor then in the us.

I cannot express the amount of love I had for this meal. This was at a food court in a casino in Macau. They heat up the skillet and the place you food on it to cook. I made sure all the beef was cooked and I just loved it. The meal was so rich in flavor and it was such a unique experience to have the food cook right there.
So this wasn't a restaurant but I had to share this meal. The amazing people I stayed with made breakfast one morning and I loved it. Waking up to the smell of bacon and French toast was amazing.
So I'm a child at heart and went to Disneyland Hong Kong while on my visit. Didn't get a good picture of my meal there but had to share this ice cream treat. I'm a huge fan of stitch and this was a stitch ice cream. It was a blueberry kind of flavor that was super good. Word of advice in Hong Kong eat your ice cream quickly it melts.
So this one is slightly silly but I wanted to share the water I drank while there. Fun fact in Hong Kong when you ask for water you need to request it cold or you'll get hot water.
This was my last meal in Hong Kong. We decided to try Korean food. There's no way you couldn't fill up with a Korean meal. They have these amazing side dishes called banchan that are unlimited and really good. The banchan are the small bowls in the picture. The beef was really cool because you would cook yourself in the middle. The orange like pizza was a kimchi dish that was okay. There were a few other dishes we got that I don't quite remember besides the fried rice which was super yummy.
This trip was one of the most amazing experiences I've had so far. I loved everything I saw and all the things I got to taste. Definitely highly recommend going to Hong Kong. You won't regret it and the eatings are beyond extraordinary.

Olive Garden - April 30 2016

I can't even express how much I love this restaurant. This is another place I've been going to since I was little. Olive Garden is an Italian restaurant with a large selection of different Italian foods. Depending on my mood I usually go for their make your own pasta or the unlimited soup. For this occasion I picked the soup. The soup shown is their chicken gnocchi soup which is super creamy and really filling. The drink shown is a raspberry lemonade like slushie which is a really good compliment for the meal. With every Olive Garden meal you get unlimited breadsticks and salad which are super good. I'll always recommend this restaurant and suggest if you've never been to definitely try it. :) happy eatings!

Los Hermanos - April 29 2016

Hello fellow foodies!! Goodness it's been ages and I'm so sorry that it has been. Life has been all over the place crazy and I've completely forgotten this amazing blog. After some recent adventures I've decided to try and catch this up to speed a little bit. More than anything I've got some crazy amazing food to share with you. Let's start with something simple less crazy.
I've been going to Los Hermanos for years ever since I was little. It's one of my all time favorite Mexican food places. The pricing in my opinion is pretty good especially for the quality of food and amount. I like to get there cheese enchiladas with the beans and rice. So good. I occasionally treat myself and get a non alcoholic strawberry daiquiri which is the pink drink. The other drink was my friends non alcoholic margarita that I tried. Really good. One thing not shown in pictures that I highly recommend is their fried ice cream. So freaking good. Try it! This is definitely a place I recommend going more than once if you can ;)
